Gloves in CS2: What to Look For
Gloves are the only cosmetic you see in every single frame of gameplay. They also behave differently from weapon skins in almost every respect, which catches out buyers who apply weapon logic to them.
The models
- Sport Gloves — the most wanted set. Vice, Pandora’s Box and Amphibious are the headline finishes and priced accordingly.
- Specialist Gloves — close second; Crimson Kimono and Fade are the standouts.
- Driver Gloves — clean leather look, mid-range pricing.
- Moto Gloves — distinctive padded design, very visible detail.
- Hand Wraps — wrapped cloth style, generally the cheapest way into gloves.
- Hydra Gloves — from the Hydra operation, limited supply.
- Broken Fang Gloves — newer, wide range of finishes.
- Bloodhound Gloves — the original set, with the metal knuckle detail.
Wear behaves differently
Gloves show wear far more aggressively than weapons. A Field-Tested pair often looks genuinely battered where a Field-Tested rifle would look fine. Many glove finishes also have restricted float ranges and are simply unavailable in Factory New.
The practical result: buy gloves a bracket cleaner than you would buy a weapon. Minimal Wear is usually the value point; Field-Tested is a real compromise rather than a clever one.
They are always on screen
Because gloves are visible constantly, colour clash matters more than with any other item. A pair that fights with your knife and rifle will bother you every round. Check the palette against what you already own before buying.
Supply is thinner than it looks
Gloves drop only from specific cases at the same rare rate as knives, and there are fewer glove finishes than knife finishes. That makes individual glove listings scarcer than the equivalent knife, and prices firmer.
Buying them
Filter the catalogue to Gloves, set the exterior to Minimal Wear or better, and sort by float. Then judge on colour against your existing loadout rather than on the name. Gloves are the one item where matching your kit is worth more than owning the famous finish.
